Job Title: Oracle EPM Consultant Planning, Budgeting & Cash Flow Expert

Location: San Francisco , CA ( Onsite ) Duration : 12 Months

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EPM Consultant with deep expertise in Planning, Budgeting, and Cash Flow Management to support the design and implementation of comprehensive EPM solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Hyperion Essbase , Hyperion Planning, Oracle EPM Cloud, and financial modeling, and will be instrumental in delivering enterprise-wide planning solutions that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Oracle EPM Planning and Budgeting solutions, including workforce planning, capital planning, and cash flow forecasting.
  • with strong expertise in Hyperion Essbase and Planning
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to understand financial processes and translate them into scalable EPM solutions.
  • Develop dynamic planning models, data forms, business rules, calculation scripts, and smart lists to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  • Implement and manage Cash Flow models, including direct and indirect cash flow methods, to improve liquidity planning and financial visibility.
  • Ensure successful data integration with ERP systems using Oracle PL/SQL, ETL tools (e.g., ODI), and other middleware technologies.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support during and after implementation phases.
  • Conduct workshops and gather business requirements, creating functional and technical documentation as needed.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize planning applications for performance and accuracy.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle EPM implementations with a strong focus on Planning, Budgeting, and Cash Flow Management.
  • Design, develop, and implement Oracle EPM solutions using Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and related tools.
  • Develop and optimize Essbase cubes (BSO/ASO), calculation scripts, business rules, and data forms.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM, specifically Hyperion Essbase (ASO/BSO) and Hyperion Planning.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Hyperion Planning, Oracle EPM Cloud (PBCS/EPBCS), and Essbase (ASO/BSO).
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing cash flow forecasting models.
  • Experience with ETL processes for integrating data across enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and planning cycles, including OPEX, CAPEX, and revenue forecasting.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT to gather requirements and drive implementation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle EPM or Hyperion certification(s)
  • Experience with Smart View, Financial Reporting, or Narrative Reporting
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, E-Business Suite, or SAP
  • Experience in industry verticals such as Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Public Sector
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
