Job Details

Our client is looking to bring on a Desktop Specialist level 4. This is a long term CONTRACT opportunity ONSITE in San Diego, CA to work for a Biotech Giant in genomic testing and DNA sequencing. Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management and oversight of all AMR Region purchasing within GIS End User Services, including procurement, receipt of goods, invoicing, and payment. Tracking activities against the approved budgets.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow to facilitate reporting of operational metrics.
  • Lifecycle management of all IT Assets within GIS End User Services, including Computers, Mobile Devices and Peripherals. Maintaining healthy stock levels based on demand & supply chain lead times.
  • Maintain strong Vendor relationships, performing regular operational reporting.
  • Responsible for regular audits against internal asset management systems.
  • Strategic input into regional inventory management.
  • Drives continuous improvement on processes and systems related to procurement, asset lifecycle management, and inventory control.
  • Maintain the regional Hardware standards in conjunction with the global EUS team and GIS End User Computing function.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience creating, documenting, and improving process lifecycles.
  • Experience working across multiple departments and organizations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • ITIL, Service Management or CMDB background.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills; ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Be a champion for change; always pushing iterative improvement.

Preferred Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working within procurement and asset management.
