Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence/ETL Developer to join our team on a short-term project focused on setting up a proof of concept (POC)/minimum viable product (MVP) for data controls and monitoring. This project will track data from its source (trade messages) to its consumption point (regulatory reporting tool). The ideal candidate will be experienced in Dataiku to configure data validation and controls and will serve as a subject matter expert (SME)/Advisor on the optimal technical architecture and configuration approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data validation and control mechanisms within Dataiku.
  • Act as a technical SME, advising on best practices for data architecture and configuration to ensure robust data controls from source to consumption.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using preferred tools such as Informatica, Alteryx, or Talon.
  • Analyze and manipulate complex data from varied sources, focusing on financial products, specifically swaps.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities.
  • Document all configurations, designs, and operational procedures to maintain high standards of data governance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or ETL Developer, with a strong portfolio of previous work in data-intensive environments.
  • Extensive experience with Dataiku, or significant expertise in at least one of the following: Informatica, Alteryx, or Talon.
  • In-depth understanding of data science methodologies and experience applying them in a business context.
  • Strong knowledge of the banking and financial sector; experience with financial products such as swaps is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to general AI or AI/ML tools and techniques is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the capability to serve as a technical advisor and team collaborator.
