NOTE: This position is a remote position and are onsite only when needed and Anticipated Travel Destinations: Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco
Job Description:
  • Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance):
  • Support the low-voltage engineering specialist in completing the AV projects in SF and Sacramento conference centers and supreme court, including AFRs and ongoing preventative maintenance projects.
  • Support the committee meetings in SF and Sacramento conference centers by attending the meetings in person at the location the meeting is being broadcast from to avoid any AV glitches during the webcast.
  • As an agent of the JCC as building owner, provide design review of the plans created by contracted firms for AV systems including network infrastructure, data, voice, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems for multiple capital projects and facility modifications.
  • Advise project managers on technical aspects of AV systems in capital or facility modification projects.
  • Review engineering designs and construction documentation.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot AV systems in existing courthouses.
  • Assist in Contract Management and Administration.
  • Assist in drafting technical scope-of-work descriptions for RFQs/RFPs related to AV work.
  • Review contractor invoices to ensure compliance with contracts and amendments and to verify that work has been completed.
  • Interact with contracts group as needed to answer technical questions about contracts, and amendments.
  • Develop AV system standards and guidelines.
  • Implement and maintain effective protocols and procedures for compliance to the JCC s California Trial Court Facilities Standards for AV systems.
  • Conduct site visits during construction for compliance with the California Trial Court Facilities Standards.
  • Review AV infrastructure and equipment in capital projects and facility modifications for compliance with the California Trial Court Facilities Standards.
  • Coordinate implementation of converged network in capital projects.
  • Provide training to internal staff and user groups.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree, preferably in a directly related field that would provide the knowledge and skills necessary for technical facility and construction engineering. Additional directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Must have the ability to travel.
  • CTS certification from Info comm International
  • Knowledge of commercial audiovisual system design gained by working as an audiovisual engineer for either a contractor or consultant
  • Familiarity with AMX and Crestron control systems
  • Familiarity the capabilities of Biamp audio equipment
  • Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS)
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification
  • Knowledge of Cisco equipment, Converged ether net and IT networks
