Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Data Asset Owner as part of our Data Strategy and Operations team.

As we are building out our Data Strategy and Operations organization as part of our Value Chain Management organization in the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain we are creating this role as part of our Data Analytics Team. The Senior Manager, Data Asset Owner will own common data assets that are used by multiple business domains in IMSC. The role will assure that the common data assets are FAIR trusted and used. As the Data Asset Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing data assets within the Supply Chain data framework. Your role involves supporting the end-user community in utilizing data effectively and ensuring the suitability of data assets for various digital products. Additionally, you will build and maintain business metadata, manage the data catalogue and improve data quality. You will also ensure accurate data lineage throughout both the creation and consumption phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and steward data assets to ensure they are FAIR trusted and used
  • Understand the GAP between business/functional needs and technical capabilities.
  • Create business blueprint in close collaboration with Data design leaders as per the business/functional requirements.
  • Define and monitor data asset quality rules & thresholds to increase data quality
  • Support the technical deployment of data assets.
  • Oversee data asset life-cycle management related activities.
  • Ensure existing data structures are used effectively by users and run smoothly.
  • Enable the organization to utilize business data to generate business insights enabling competitive advantage.
  • Strive for data excellence to create value proposition and outcomes for business domains.
  • Rationalize data asset characteristic, data API, periodic review and retirement policies.

Qualifications - External

Education:
  • A bachelor's or higher degree is required
  • Focused degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field is preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • At least five (5) years of work experience
  • Data management expertise (in depth knowledge of data governance, data quality management and metadata management principles)
  • Technical proficiency with data management tools and technologies (Data catalogue, data lake house etc.)
  • Knowledge on regulatory requirements related to data (e.g. GxP, HIPAA, SOX)
  • Deep knowledge of the supply chain operations, including understanding processes, rules, and data requirements.
  • Strong background in supply chain data e.g. SAP S/4
  • Experience in driving business value with Data capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and proven ability to translate business requirement and process requirements to data models that drive value for internal customers
  • Experience in managing projects and initiatives related to data asset stewardship and lifecycle management

Preferred:
  • Experience in the Pharmaceuticals and/or Healthcare industries
  • Capacity to align data initiatives with organizational goals and drive data driven decision making
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and emerging technologies in the data landscape
  • Demonstrates analytics skills and strategic thinking
  • Leading with purposes and sense of urgency

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
