The RF Engineer will support the end-to-end design, integration, and test of RF hardware and systems in support of satellite communication (SATCOM) applications. This includes hands-on work with transceivers, antennas, and ground support equipment, in collaboration with a cross-disciplinary engineering team to ensure technical performance and mission compliance.
The RF Engineer will be responsible for:
Designing and developing RF components and subsystems, including transceivers and antennas
Conducting integration and test of RF systems to validate performance against requirements
Performing hands-on testing using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers
Developing and executing RF test procedures and documenting results for verification and compliance
Collaborating with systems, software, digital, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration
Supporting troubleshooting and resolution of RF performance issues throughout the development lifecycle
This role will involve working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a timely and efficient manner. The RF Engineer will be expected to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting and challenging projects.
Successful applicants will typically possess 9 years of professional experience with a minimum education level of Bachelor's degree

Skill Requirements:
Strong knowledge of RF design to include satellite communication systems
RF test experience including familiarity with RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected applicant to ====
Active Top Secret clearance is required for consideration; clearance investigation must be in-scope and transferable prior to starting employment.
The selected applicant must be willing to complete a customer-required polygraph to obtain TS/SCI with Poly; favorable results are required for continued employment.
Desired skills
Familiarity with RF system design, including SATCOM components and devices, such as amplifiers, filters, and antennas
Coding skills in Python for interaction and commanding RF components, including experience with APIs and scripting languages
Experience with RF systems using complex modulation schemes
Familiarity with antenna design and test to include electromagnetic simulations using CST/HFSS/TICRA and range measurements

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
