Clinical Data Analyst - Performance Improvement
Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager and in collaboration with division team members, the Performance Improvement Data Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of database systems, reports, and analytical tools used across the organization. This role contributes to performance improvement (PI) initiatives, including but not limited to clinical benchmarking, case management, and patient safety efforts. Responsibilities include:
  • Designing and maintaining databases and reporting systems.
  • Generating and analyzing data to support PI activities.
  • Collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilizing ad hoc reporting tools to deliver actionable insights.
  • Supporting the organization's quality and safety goals through data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
Education / Certification and Licensure:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, epidemiology, statistics, computer science, or a related field.

OR
  • Four (4) years of experience in quantitative and analytical work may substitute for the educational requirement, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Qualified Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in quantitative and analytical work.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare, preferably in an acute care facility.
  • Note: A bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field may substitute for this experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in database management and operation, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Demonstrated experience using ad hoc report writing tools.
  • Prior experience in performance improvement or quality initiatives in healthcare is preferred.
  • Preferred: Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL and/or SAS.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
