Job Description:
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated, part-time Network Technician Intern to join Infrastructure Communications Technology (ICT), Field Operations Refresh and Rehabs a unit within UFIT for 2026 (Spring, Summer and Fall 2026 semesters). This year-long, paid internship is designed to provide students currently enrolled in college an opportunity to learn practical skills and gain experience to propel them into a successful career in Information Technology. The intern will assist the team with life-cycling OSI layer 1 and 2 connections within building networks both wired and wireless, documentation updates, and other tasks based upon building network project needs.
Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other dedicated employees focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida's innovative and inspirational community.
ICT Field Operations Refresh and Rehabs Team works to lifecycle aged or obsolete network infrastructure within the UFIT campus network. Intern will work with Team from their Ayers Building (720 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL. 32601) location on the 2nd floor of the north tower.
