Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other project team members to elicit, document, and clarify business requirements for the procurement and implementation of an IT system
  • Analyze and prioritize business requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and aligned with the organization's goals
  • Identify potential conflicts or inconsistencies in requirements and propose solutions
  • Create and document business process models, workflows, and diagrams to provide a visual representation of current and future processes
  • Analyze and model data to understand how information flows within the organization
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with IT projects, including technical, operational, and business risks
  • Evaluate the costs and benefits of proposed IT solutions to help stakeholders make informed decisions about project prioritization and resource allocation
  • Assist in the development of test plans, test cases, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the solution meets business requirements
  • Support change management efforts by helping stakeholders adapt to new processes or systems
  • Ensure that the final deliverables meet defined quality standards and align with the original business requirements
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including business requirement documents, project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the organization
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and suppliers to evaluate and select IT solutions or services that meet business needs
  • Provide support after the implementation of IT solutions to address any issues, monitor system performance, and make necessary adjustments
  • Ensure that IT solutions comply with industry regulations and security standards
  • Ensure that data privacy and protection requirements are considered and integrated into IT solutions
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT projects and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with IT solutions and service.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience implementing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software packages as a fully cloud-based or hybrid cloud/on-premises implementation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products, such as Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in creating business and system requirements for on premise and web/cloud based systems
  • Possess strong organization, administrative, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with internal customers in nontechnical terms.
Education & Certifications
  • Professional certification in business analysis, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Professional of Business Analysis Certification (PBA)
Location: Richmond, VA

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
