Data Analyst V

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking a Data Analyst V.

Summary:
In this role, the Data Analyst gathers user requirements for database changes, analyzes database requirements, creates specifications for the ETL team to load the data to the database, participates in functional design sessions, creates and executes test scripts for the load of the database, and aids in the escalation/resolution of data issues. The candidate must be familiar with the development lifecycle and must be proficient in querying databases via SQL or other tools.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
* Professional certification(s) desired
* 15+ years software development experience with experience with projects of similar scope and complexity
* Expertise with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
* Ability to translate high level business requirements into database and ETL requirements (source to target mappings)
* Ability to document business processes
* Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to multitask is critical
* Knowledge of testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or Quality Center desired

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
