Ecolab is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to be part of a dynamic team that's at the forefront of technological innovation. Our work is transforming how restaurants operate, making them more efficient and sustainable.

This role is in our Irving, TX office and will follow the company's hybrid policy. No remote option is available for this role at this time.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems (both SQL and NoSQL) in cloud environments
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for cloud deployment
  • Ensure security and compliance of cloud infrastructure and databases
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
  • Create and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies
  • Proven experience in a leadership or mentorship role, with a passion for developing talent and fostering growth

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience; or no degree and 12 years combined education and equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Experience with ADO (Azure Dev Ops)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, Github)
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience with Azure or multi-cloud environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Previous experience with early-stage product infrastructure development
  • Proven track record of implementing high-availability systems
  • Interest in collaborating with partners outside of core team/organization (including SMEs in computer Vision AI)
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and plug into different roles as product develops
  • Desire to be in a fast-moving, agile environment with willingness to adjust quickly
  • Openness to experimental approaches typical of tech start-ups
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technical languages as needed

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $104,700.00 - $157,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
