Responsibilities:
Scope, define, and design end-to-end technical network solutions, addressing the
business needs and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Conduct initial site infrastructure and requirements assessments to establish a clear
understanding of network conditions and facility-specific needs.
Devise and recommend appropriate network device refresh plans based on business
criticality, technical requirements, and security considerations.
Prepare and share a Bill of Materials (BOM) for new hardware, working closely with
GEV SPOC (Single Point of Contact) and site contacts for hardware ordering and
procurement processes.
Provide core competencies in areas such as Enterprise-Wide Area Networking, Software-
Defined Technologies, Multi-protocol Network Transport Techniques, and Layer 4-7
Content Switching.
Offer technical expertise across all network services to support both GEV customers and
business teams.
Create and implement network solutions templates that meet business requirements while
ensuring a robust and secure network design.
Analyze and address security risks during the hardware refresh process, ensuring
minimal disruption and providing hyper-care support through to the successful closure of
the transition to operations.
Lead the deployment phase, including remote configuration, build, testing of devices and
circuits, and coordination of local support when necessary.
Monitor firewall rule log utilization and manage IP migration or re-IP work, including
handling overlapping IP subnets.
Collaborate with business teams and the GEV security team to analyze firewall traffic,
define firewall rules, and obtain IT Risk approvals.
Coordinate the IT Risk and firewall matrix approval process to ensure compliance with
security protocols.

Ensure adherence to TTO compliance for assets, including tools and monitoring as per
GEV's standard processes.
Perform clean-up of unused configurations, conduct impact analysis, and ensure that any
changes follow the standard change management process.
Document network design, build infrastructure, and configurations through diagrams and
other supporting materials.
Ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer and post-implementation support to relevant
operations teams for ongoing maintenance.
