About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Crimes Officer to join the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM), Management Information & Reporting team (MI&R). Learn more about our career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.
The MI&R team will deliver curated data services to our FCRM stakeholders. These services will leverage Wells Fargo data assets to deliver Governance, Operational or Core Financial Crimes MIS.
The MI&R Lead plays a strategic role in guiding FCRM responsibilities. The role will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of critical reporting. This role will own a reporting portfolio and own the reporting lifecycle of reporting solutions: including requirements gathering, development, Quality Assurance, deployment, and continuous improvement.
This role will be responsible for analyzing business insights, building presentations and building accurate and timely FCRM materials for Financial Crimes Risk Leadership and supporting Committees, which are subject to a high level of scrutiny. Other responsibilities will include the support of FCRM and MI&R transformation efforts.
Work associated with this role will require an in depth understanding of the FCRM program and core components along with an understanding of other methodologies such as the Risk Measurement Policy and the Operational Risk Key Risk Indicator Procedure. Additionally, this role will require strong collaboration with key partners in FCRM such as Anti-Bribery and Corruption, International, Anti-Money Laundering, and Sanctions component teams. Strong collaboration with key frontline such as the Financial Crimes Leaders and Financial Crimes Operations (FCO).

In this role, you will:
- Execute the delivery of the MI&R Book of Work, established reporting inventory, and ad-hoc requests.
- Create, Maintain and improve reporting processes and ensure adherence to data governance and compliance standards.
- Act as a process and escalation point. Inform peers, lines of business and external partners on trends, risks and challenges.
- Oversee the quality and consumption of reporting solutions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business needs.
- Partner with more experienced leaders to develop reporting solutions, innovative methods and adjustments to strategies that will minimize portfolio risk and maximize risk management outcomes. Critical to understand interdependencies, shared challenges and constraints.
- Collaborate with transformation teams to identify use-cases, define benefits and outcomes strategic reporting initiatives. May also require Leading implementation of strategic efforts or working groups.
- Collaborate internally with FCRM stakeholders such as Control Executive team, Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies for oversight of risk management.
- Understand data management risk for FCRM, including effective onboarding, source expansion, data violations, and ongoing remediation efforts.
- 5+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in business intelligence, data reporting, or financial crimes reporting. Strong business acumen with technical experience in managing large, complex reporting portfolios.
- Ability to work independently as well as be an engaged and contributing team member.
- Knowledge of modern data stack and experience with data and analytics technologies (i.e. Teradata, Hadoop, Google Big Query, Tableau, Alteryx, Spark)
- Proficiency in SQL and Data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Preferred Alteryx Experience.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to construct PowerPoint presentations for executive communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-quantitative colleagues in a concise and clear fashion.
- Experience building relationships across lines of businesses, influencing partners, as well as providing credible and effective challenge.
- Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple responsibilities, tasks, and complex projects while meeting varying deliverable timelines.
- Experience in partnering with global teams and collaborating across geographies
