Description
Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator interested in joining an expanding organization! To excel in this position, you should be a results-oriented problem solver who is passionate about establishing and sustaining a stable network infrastructure. To support the business, you will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components in order to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure. You will work with software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems that change frequently. A key part of this role will be participating in ongoing education to remain up to date and fully informed. This Network Administrator role, located in the Carmel, Indiana, area is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Administering the operation of services related to all local area and wide area networks, following company policies and procedures
- Administering control measures for LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues regarding local area networks / wide area network, including performance and connectivity problems
- Coordinating and executing upgrades to network software and hardware
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of Fortinet Firewalls
- Proven knowledge of VPNs (virtual private networks)
- Practical knowledge of Network Security
- Quality experience with Network Connectivity
- Knowledge of Network Routing
- Skills in Juniper
- Well-founded grasp of Automated Civil Litigation (ACL)
- Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) experience
- Previous experience working with WatchGuard
- Wide ranging experience with Network Performance
- Proficiency in Switching Protocols
- WLAN experience preferred
- General familiarity with VLAN
- Comprehensive knowledge of Networking
- Earlier work involving SonicWall
- Highly capable of troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing issues
- Understanding of production environments and being on-call
- Understanding of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations
