Job Details
Title: Sr Electrical Design Specialist
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Duration: 5 Months
Job Description:
- Schedule: HYBRID 3 days On Site
- Designs and drafts both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment.
- Designs wiring harnesses, creates wiring and schematic diagrams, and performs layout checking.
- Performs LRU chassis and housing design/drafting, including system packaging.
- Selects components such as electrical connectors, accessories, wire, shielding, etc.
- Produces schematic diagrams and/or CAD drawings for use by customers, operations, or vendors.
- Ensures output is compatible with data management configuration control systems.
Skills Required:
- Experience with electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehicles
- Full-cycle design experience: concept through validation of sub-systems
- Expertise in CAD drafting/modeling and wiring harness/cable assembly design
- Creo Pro-Cable (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and GD&T
- Wire routing using Siemens Capital Harness Logical Data
- Familiarity with military electrical connector and cabling specs
- Ability to create wiring harness schematics using Visio Technical
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Experience Required:
- 5 years of Creo Design
Education Required:
- Associate Degree with 9+ years experience
- OR Bachelor s Degree with 5+ years experience
