Job Description

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Cloud platforms. Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Office365, and Dynamics365 are a plus.
• Experience with orchestration, automation, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Puppet, AWS Cloud Formation, Azure Resource Manager, Kubernetes, or equivalent).
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools: SolarWinds and LogicMonitor.
• Developing Cloud performance monitoring benchmarks and alerting thresholds.
• Develop efficiencies across the environment to help in migrating services into the cloud.
• Analyze, evaluate, and advocate the adoption of best practices for Cloud infrastructure within a Global model across multiple lines of business.
• Work alongside other parts of the organization Service Design, Information Security, and Service Continuity to determine solutions and provide consistency and awareness of initiatives.
• Provide input into design and construction of new and existing cloud solutions across the environment, providing mentoring and knowledge transfer to assist in supporting collective deliverables. The role will also focus on ensuring Software lifecycles are maintained and adopted.
• Monitoring incoming service requests, incidents, and projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Works closely with various IT groups including but not limited to project management, database administration, infrastructure, security, and application teams and assists in overall architectural design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex Cloud-native systems.
• As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
• Ensure that facts and details are correct so that all project and/or program deliverables and operational environments will meet the needs of the stakeholders, policies, standards, and best practices.
• Documents all policies, procedures, standards, system administration activity, and disaster recovery procedures around building and continuing operation of Cloud environments.
• Leverage scripting skills and available tools to automate processes to reduce human intervention.
• Ensures system configuration follows best practices and adheres to CooperSurgical s security and SOX/HIPAA/PCI compliance policies and guidelines.
• Conducts routine cloud infrastructure audits and provides recommendations for existing process improvement.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with complex Cloud infrastructure technologies
• 5+ years of experience in a Hybrid Cloud environment

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in IT, CS, or related area of study required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extended industry experience directly related to duties outlined above

Responsibilities:

• Develop efficiencies across the environment to help in migrating services into the cloud.
