Our mission is to democratize security, making it easy and effective for everyone. We address one of the world's most pressing challenges - safe, secure information access - by designing simple solutions for complex problems. We believe impactful work is rewarding work and strive to empower every team member to bring their whole selves to work.

At Cisco, we foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and learning. We recognize and reward hard work, champion a healthy work-life balance, and prioritize diversity as a key driver of innovation. Together, we're building the most loved and trusted name in security.

Your Impact

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise and guidance to Security Sellers, Account Teams, and customers. You will showcase Cisco's cutting-edge security solutions, deliver tailored demonstrations, and design configurations that address complex customer needs. You'll also work closely with technology experts to craft architectures, leading pre-sales activities and positioning Cisco's solutions against competing offerings.

This role requires an elite communicator who can navigate conversations with technical evaluators, IT leaders, and C-level executives. You will build strong relationships, translate business challenges into technical solutions, and champion Cisco's Zero Trust Architecture and Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Cisco security solutions, particularly in the Identity Security realm.
  • Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute territory and account strategies.
  • Understand customer business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring Cisco solutions address evolving security challenges.
  • Provide technical consulting to address major account opportunities and support long-term account strategies.
  • Create, present, and document technical solutions that align with Cisco's architecture and services.
  • Conduct Proof of Value (POVs) for customers with complex use cases, working alongside engineering teams when necessary.
  • Deliver engaging technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical customer-facing role.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies such as Duo or ISE.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and core application security concepts like encryption, CSS, and CSRF.
  • Proven ability to build and deliver impactful presentations to diverse audiences, including IT admins, architects, and C-level executives.
  • Strong understanding of modern directory services, network architecture, and industry-standard authentication/identity protocols (e.g., SCIM, SAML, OIDC/OAuth, LDAP, RADIUS).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical sales or pre-sales experience in security specializations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with firewall, VPN and endpoint (EDR, XDR) security solutions.
  • Deep understanding of MFA technologies (e.g., TOTP, WebAuthn) and endpoint management solutions (e.g., MDM, RMM).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
