Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and test wireless network equipment, including access points, antennas, repeaters, base stations, cell site routers and microwave links.
- Implement network configurations based on project specifications and engineering designs.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving them efficiently to minimize turn up time.
- Collaborate with Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel to troubleshoot network problems as needed.
- Site Surveys & Assessments:
- Conduct site surveys to assess signal strength, coverage, and potential interference issues.
- Utilize specialized tools and software to collect and analyze RF data as directed.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation and integration activities
- Document network configurations and changes.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols when working on wireless network equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of wireless technologies e.g., LTE and 5G
- Familiarity with backhaul transport network protocols and architectures e.g. EBH, Nokia, Dark Fiber and Lit circuits.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in wireless networking are a plus.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in wireless network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
