We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. This role will be crucial in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and maintain our systems, ensuring they meet both our high standards and those of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site reliability, Tableau Server API, and AZURE, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure necessary for optimal operation, including development, QA, and production environments.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure system reliability, capacity planning, and performance.
• Develop and implement monitoring systems to detect anomalies and performance issues, ensuring system health and reliability.
• Utilize Tableau Server API to create dynamic, data-driven solutions.
• Leverage AZURE to manage cloud-based resources and services.
• Facilitate blameless post-mortems and proactively recommend and implement potential system improvements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures, processes, and incident reports.
• Participate in on-call rotation, responding to and resolving emergent service problems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Strong experience with Tableau Server API.
• Proficiency with AZURE and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Excellent understanding of modern web services, their interactions, and how to manage their deployment effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Familiarity with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and principles.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Proven ability to learn quickly, understand complex systems, and to work closely with the rest of the engineering team to solve new and complex problems.
