Job Title: Linux Administrator with VMware Experience

Duration: Contract-to-Hire (6 months to Hire)

Location: Monroe / Detroit, MI (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Client is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with VMware experience to join their IT infrastructure team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the intention of converting the right candidate to a full-time position within 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and support Linux server environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines using VMware.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain system security policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Support upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration.
• Solid experience working with VMware (ESXi, vCenter).
• Understanding of system and network performance tuning.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Additional Information:

• This role is hybrid, with expectations to work onsite in Monroe or Detroit, MI as needed.
• This is a W2 position only; sponsorship is not available.
