Job Details
We are looking for a Cloud Data Architect (Google Cloud Platform) to design, build, and optimize enterprise data platforms in Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in data architecture, analytics, and cloud-native technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Platform Architecture
Design cloud-native data architectures using Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Looker, etc.).
Define data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics strategies.
Ensure data models support business intelligence, machine learning, and real-time analytics.
Cloud Strategy & Implementation
Lead migration of on-premises data warehouses and lakes to Google Cloud Platform.
Implement best practices for scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
Governance & Security
Implement data governance frameworks, metadata management, and access controls.
Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with business, engineering, and analytics teams to align solutions with business needs.
Mentor teams in Google Cloud Platform data engineering and architecture best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
3–5+ years designing and implementing data solutions in Google Cloud Platform.
Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform data services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Looker, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, AI Platform.
Proficiency with SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT tools.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
Experience in both batch and streaming data processing.
Certifications (Preferred):
Google Professional Data Engineer
Google Professional Cloud Architect
