Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a mid-level electrical engineer to join a team integrating systems to support the LRSO program at Eglin AFB, FL. The LRSO is a cruise missile planned to load and interface with the B52. We need an electrical engineer who can help the program evaluate requirements and interfaces of both the mechanical assemblies and the electrical interfaces. The candidate must be able to clearly articulate technical requirements issues to senior leadership and understand how to formulate courses of action before being asked to do so. Familiarity with DoD standards and instructions is necessary. An active clearance is needed with a minimum of Secret, but a TS/SCI is preferred. Lastly, a successful candidate will be able to present on all of these subjects and lead meetings on the subjects as needed.
The U.S. Air Force is developing a new Long-Range Stand-Off (LRSO) nuclear missile. In May 2021, the Air Force awarded an Engineering and Manufacturing Design (EMD) contract to Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition.

- Derive requirements for subsystems based on knowledge of the interface and system.
- Validate existing requirements and ensure that requirements are both necessary and sufficient for the interface of the system to the platform.
- Plan verification of requirements including testing/analysis needed.
- Review reports and analysis documentation to verify that requirements were met.
- Work with the program and prime contractor to ensure scheduled plans meet program needs.
- Interface with senior leadership on integration matters.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
- 5+ years of engineering experience is required.
- Current DOD Secret Clearance (or US Gov equivalent) is required. Must be TS eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering field is desired.
- Experience in a program office is desired.
- Experience with DoD instructions and military standards is desired.
