Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders from finance, accounting, and project management to understand business needs and translate them into effective system configurations.
- Configure and maintain core Deltek Costpoint modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Setup, Fixed Assets) to support business processes and financial controls.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for Deltek Costpoint functionality, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and sessions for end-users, ensuring a smooth transition and user adoption.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing ongoing support and strategic recommendations for process improvements.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical aspects of Deltek Costpoint implementations, including system installations, upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and integrations using tools such as Cognos Analytics, SQL, or other business intelligence platforms.
- Perform data migration and data validation tasks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during system transitions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working with Deltek support and internal IT teams as necessary.
- Manage API connections and develop custom scripts to automate processes and integrate Costpoint with other enterprise systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 5/10 years of hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint (preferably version 8.x).
- Demonstrable expertise in both the functional business processes and the technical architecture of the Costpoint system.
- Strong understanding of government contracting accounting principles, including FAR, DFARS, and CAS.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Deltek certification (Deltek Certified Professional).
- Experience with other Deltek products such as Deltek Time & Expense or Deltek Cobra.
- Proficiency with Cognos Analytics or other business intelligence reporting tools.
- Prior experience in a consulting environment.
