As a Senior Cloud Engineering Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the Software and Infrastructure Engineering department, you will facilitate delivery of strategic & tactical initiatives and guide engineers and executives through and around unforeseen operational engagements. You are known for effective crisis management, stakeholder engagement, software & infrastructure engineering, and your understanding of cloud concepts. You will play a key role in fostering team cohesion and individual career development, balancing high-level oversight with personal growth initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership to guide the team towards future technological developments and operational excellence.
  • Facilitate team cohesion, ensuring a collaborative environment where each team member's contribution and career development is valued and curated.
  • Provide high-level oversight and insight during major incidents, setting clear expectations for resolution with both the internal team and affected parties.
  • Focus on eliminating systemic waste to allow our teams to commit to and work on strategic engineering and delivery.
  • Ensure transparency and effective communication during and after incidents, particularly with development teams and their executives. You act in a blameless, data-driven manner, show high empathy, emotional intelligence, and can navigate difficult situations with composure and tact.
  • Continually develop a vision for evolving or supplementing current cloud technology capabilities, particularly in relation to Cloud Foundry and similar platforms. This vision will be used to influence and contribute to the broader strategic goals of the group, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Focus on Customer obsessed high quality value delivery and you drive continual improvement around security, risk, and controls


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability in incident management and effective crisis communication
  • Working architectural familiarity with cloud technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player and a leader who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain a positive attitude and high-level of performance on high-profile/time-sensitive initiatives


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience in managing cloud engineering and operations ideally within and the Cloud Foundry ecosystem.
  • Experience in at least one technology stack either designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
