Our Client currently seeks a Senior MMIS Project Manager to join our team in Albany, NY (50% on site) . [The client requires an employee to be on site for 5 days in a 10-days period starting on Monday]

Overview of Job: The Senior MMIS Project Manager will conduct project management activities to support the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading, managing, coordinating, and reporting on multiple projects of varying levels of size and complexity over their full life cycle, from origination through closeout in accordance with the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and/or New York State (NYS) project management guidelines and project governance
  • Coordinating and driving cross-functional project teams, assess resource needs, and develop detailed project plans and schedules to ensure on-time completion of projects
  • Managing a project team with minimal guidance and oversight
  • Effectively reviewing and communicating feedback for a project team s work and performance in a timely manner
  • Facilitating decision making between project team members
  • Monitoring and controlling project scope, schedule, budget and resources in order to meet objectives and commitments
  • Identifying, developing, and maintaining positive relationships with Project Sponsor and stakeholders and ability to influence matrixed resources
  • Proactively identifying, documenting, and resolving issues and risks with project team and escalating appropriately
  • Providing regular status reports highlighting accomplishments, plans and issues to project team members and senior management
  • Working with the EPMO administration to promote proper project management practices, including the recommendation of process improvements
  • Reviewing project deliverables to ensure compliance with requirements and standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience leading projects of various sizes
  • Bachelor s degree in management, Business, or Information Technology
  • Professional (PMP) or Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
  • 50% on site in Albany, NY

Requested Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications including Project, Office, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and/or health insurance industry policies, processes, and systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form, to collaborate and engage as a high performing team member with the EPMO and client teams
