Key Responsibilities:

Maximo / MAS Architecture & Engineering

  • Lead installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching for Maximo, MAS Work Centers, Manage, Monitor, Predict, and related applications.
  • Evaluate and modernize existing Maximo 7.6.x environments, defining a roadmap to containerized MAS deployment.
  • Architect integration patterns, data flows, and middleware configurations (WebSphere Liberty, Kafka, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
  • Conduct performance tuning, system diagnostics, logging, and environment optimization.

OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineering

  • Deploy, configure, and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters across on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Build secure container images, manage Operators, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Maximo components.
  • Implement monitoring, scaling, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies for Maximo on OpenShift.
  • Manage OpenShift networking, ingress/egress, secrets management, storage classes, and persistent volume provisioning.

Migration, Implementation & Support

  • Lead migration from Maximo 7.6.1.x to MAS 8/9 on OpenShift, ensuring compatibility, data integrity, and business continuity.
  • Support integrations with enterprise systems such as ESB, SAP, GIS (Esri), Active Directory, and PI/SCADA systems.
  • Conduct environment troubleshooting across Maximo, Kubernetes, integrations, and database layers.
  • Deliver high-quality documentation including architecture diagrams, installation guides, and runbooks.

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Implement OpenShift and MAS security best practices including IAM/OAuth, RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise IT/OT security standards for regulated industries, particularly Energy & Utilities.
  • Work closely with InfoSec teams to support audits, hardening, and ongoing security monitoring.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with enterprise architects, DevOps teams, Maximo functional teams, database administrators, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide solution recommendations, architectural leadership, and technical guidance across project teams.
  • Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and knowledge transfer for operational teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Hat OpenShift Administrator / Architect certification.
  • IBM Maximo or MAS certification(s).
  • Experience with MAS Operator, Kafka/Event Streams, AI/ML Maximo components, or advanced monitoring (Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus).
