Mainframe Engineer
Locations: Plano, TX (Hybrid role 3 Days onsite)

Details: Serve as hands on Subject Matter Expert and support issues resolution (Priority 1, 2 3).
Assess and suggest process improvements, enhancements, and performance improvements.
Maintain documentation of the issues and knowledge of business processes.
Application Release and Deployment Support.
Provide support after office hours, weekends and on call support when business needs.
Production Ticket/Issue Triage support.
Identify root cause in the code, perform break-fix activities in the code and/or DB.
Create adhoc data reports as needed by Line of Business.
5+ years of developing/supporting Mainframe based applications.
5+ Years of developing batch using Job Control Language (JCL).
5+ Years of analyzing/developing COBOL programs.
5+ Years of experience with tools such as CA7, NDM/FTP, File Manager.
5+ Years of experience with VSAM, DB2 and CICS.
Good communication skills, both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers, support teams and management.
Experience with consumer banking or Deposits applications.
