CONTRACT Position: 12 Months

Location: Onsite in Orlando, FL

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US

 

We are seeking a highly skilled ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to join our advanced electronics development team focused on mission-critical systems for aerospace and defense applications. This contract role involves the design and development of secure, high-reliability digital hardware for avionics, radar, electronic warfare, satellite communications, and other defense platforms. The ideal candidate brings expertise in ASIC/FPGA design workflows and thrives in a disciplined, safety-critical development environment.

  • Design and implement digital logic using VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog for aerospace and defense-grade FPGA and ASIC platforms.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, architecture design, and partitioning for high-integrity systems.
  • Perform simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and place-and-route using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards (e.g., DO-254, MIL-STD-461/810, RTCA/DO-160).
  • Develop comprehensive verification plans and testbenches (UVM or directed testing) to support system-level validation.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure proper integration with RF, power, and embedded software components.
  • Support design reviews, technical documentation, and risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct lab bring-up, hardware validation, and root-cause analysis on prototypes and production hardware.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, test engineering, and sustainment teams to transition designs to production.
