job summary:

This is a senior-level IT Business Analyst role focused on bridging the gap between business operations (specifically billing and B2B exchanges) and Agile software development teams. The role requires strong analytical skills, process improvement leadership, and a pseudo-technical understanding to drive the enhancement lifecycle of a core platform


Required Experience:


7+ years of relevant work experience.


Demonstrated success in remote team working models.


Basic Technical Knowledge:


Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps.


Basic knowledge of SQL query development is a plus.


Education:


Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities


Agile Development & Requirements:


Act as the pivotal bridge between business stakeholders and Agile software development teams.


Craft detailed user stories in Jira or Azure DevOps, translating complex requirements into actionable tasks.


Lead the entire enhancement lifecycle, from planning to maintenance, for the core platform.


Energy/B2B Domain Expertise:


Apply deep understanding of energy industry billing processes, logic, and B2B exchanges (including EDI).


Analyze production issues, create business cases, and guide project scope based on domain knowledge.


Stakeholder Management & Facilitation:


Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.


Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, document business capabilities, and refine assets.


Lead cross-functional collaboration and planning.


Data & Technical Acumen:


Utilize querying tools and relational database knowledge to identify and resolve data issues.


Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.


Leverage Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.


Process Improvement & Leadership:


Apply advanced facilitation skills to lead process redesigns and support improvement initiatives.


Mentor and guide other Business Analysts within the department.


Strategic Planning & Risk Management:


Lead the development and execution of strategic roadmaps for applications.


Identify, assess, and proactively communicate project risks and develop mitigation plans.


Support change management initiatives for smooth user transitions.


Quality Assurance:


Collaborate with QA teams to ensure solutions meet requirements and quality standards.
