Job Details

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and reliable
infrastructure and application solutions both on-premises and in the cloud ensuring
alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. This role works across business
units, IT teams, and leadership to develop future-ready architectures that support
business goals, drive innovation, and optimize cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end infrastructure solution architecture for assigned projects,
ensuring adherence to architectural standards and methodologies.
Lead the development of future-state business and technology architectures
using enterprise architecture frameworks to deliver competitive advantage and
design efficiency.
Conduct architecture gap analyses to evaluate impact, ROI, strategic alignment,
and the roadmap required to address future business needs.
Partner with Business Unit CIOs to align IT strategies with product roadmaps,
sales pipelines, and long-term business objectives.
Ensure that all proposed or reviewed solutions adhere to key architectural
principles, including scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and usability.
Integrate and align technical visions across platforms, systems, and
organizations to deliver cohesive and forward-thinking solutions.
Lead feasibility studies and develop high-level business and technical models to
assess new technology opportunities, preparing business cases and assessing
risk.
Maintain alignment between enterprise strategies, transformation initiatives, and
IT delivery through setting policy and defining architecture standards.
Define and promote architecture governance practices for systems component
selection and solution design activities.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, methods, and industry trends for
potential business application and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
Collaborate extensively with infrastructure, development, and PMO teams to
ensure timely and strategic project execution.

Design architectures for complex systems while ensuring alignment with
customer and business requirements.
Provide thought leadership and resolution support for complex issues, directing
teams and reallocating resources when necessary.
Effectively communicate technical concepts and strategies to diverse
audiences from engineers and project managers to senior IT leaders.
Facilitate intake processes for new initiatives and ensure proposed solutions
align with architectural standards and strategic goals.
Provide technical oversight during project implementation to ensure solutions are
delivered on time and within budget.
Serve as a senior escalation point for technical roadblocks, proactively driving
resolution of issues and risks.
Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure technically sound solutions
and successful project outcomes.
Work closely with BU CIO teams and PMO teams on proposal development,
project estimation, prioritization, and portfolio planning.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
10+ years of experience in IT/technical services, with a bachelor s degree in
computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with the ability
to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to leverage external vendors and consultants for project
delivery and operational support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong leadership and
stakeholder management abilities.
Extensive experience with middleware technologies, databases, and large-scale
infrastructure solutions.
Deep understanding of cloud, hybrid, and private hosting environments and
modern infrastructure architectures.


Technical Proficiencies:
Cloud Computing: Familiarity with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure,
Google Cloud Platform), cloud-native architectures, and hybrid environments.
Operating Systems: Expertise in Linux and Windows environments.
Networking: Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN technologies.
Storage & Backup: Experience with SAN systems and enterprise backup
strategies.
Virtualization: Proficiency in server and storage virtualization technologies across
public, private, and hybrid cloud models.
Web Technologies: Knowledge of web servers, application servers, load
balancing, and related technologies.
Security: Experience with enterprise security tools and practices, including
firewalls, intrusion prevention, compliance monitoring, and vulnerability
management.
