Network Architect/ Solution Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Architect/ Solution Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain our enterprise-level, on-premise network infrastructure
• Lead the design and development of all aspects of our network, including LAN, WAN, and data center infrastructure
• Translate business requirements into a comprehensive technical design and solution architecture
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for network architecture
• Provide technical leadership to network engineering and operations teams, ensuring all designs adhere to best practices, security standards, and compliance regulations
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to optimize network performance, enhance security posture, and improve overall reliability
• Conduct regular network performance analysis and capacity planning to support business growth
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, design documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all on-premise network systems

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in network engineering and at least 3-5 years in a network architecture or solution design role, with a focus on on-premise environments
• Deep understanding of traditional networking concepts and a proven track record of creating robust, scalable, and secure solutions
• In-depth knowledge of core routing and switching technologies
• Expertise in protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, and extensive experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista platforms
• Strong experience with data center networking, including technologies like spine-and-leaf architecture, FabricPath, and virtualization
• Deep understanding of network security principles, including extensive hands-on experience with on-premise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and site-to-site/remote-access VPNs
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced enterprise environment

Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31
