Job Details

Overview:
My client a growing cyber security consulting firm is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join a high-visibility federal program supporting enterprise security modernization efforts. This role is focused on building secure systems architecture, integrating cybersecurity into the development lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks and standards.

Location: On-site at Client HQ - Washington, DC (Hybrid: 3 days per week)
Clearance: Must currently hold a Top Secret clearance
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of secure enterprise architecture
  • Integrate security controls into the SDLC and automate security testing
  • Support A&A documentation efforts and implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Conduct security architecture reviews, IV&V testing, and compliance assessments
  • Manage and maintain security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners)
  • Ensure cloud environments align with STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and FedRAMP standards
  • Provide expert guidance to the Client OCIO and Deputy CIO on secure architecture strategies
Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications:
    CISSP, CISM, or ISSEP
  • Technical Expertise In:
  • Cybersecurity engineering & DevSecOps
  • Zero Trust Architecture
  • RMF and NIST standards (800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP)
  • Integration of cybersecurity into SDLC
