International Procurement Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced International Procurement Specialist to lead product development efforts and oversee sourcing operations with global suppliers. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, international sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Selection

• Identify and select new products aligned with the office furniture dealer market
• Evaluate supplier capabilities for new product feasibility and production readiness
• Collaborate with Marketing to launch and position high-potential products

International Supplier Management

• Act as the primary liaison with overseas factories in Asia (e.g., China, Malaysia, Taiwan)
• Coordinate timelines, communication, and quality assurance
• Manage product drawings, specifications, and documentation

Manufacturing & Pricing Strategy

• Leverage knowledge of manufacturing processes to optimize cost and product quality
• Develop and implement a pricing plan to meet gross margin objectives
• Provide detailed pricing and shipping information for new product rollouts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Sales, Field Services, and Marketing to develop promotional and support materials
• Coordinate with Distribution for inventory planning and product storage
• Support digital and marketing teams with relevant product data and content

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Product Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 5 years of experience in international procurement, product sourcing, or product development
• Knowledge of global manufacturing processes and cost structures
• Proven experience working with Asia-based suppliers
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (PLM experience is a plus)
