Job Description

ECS is seeking a Technical Analyst Intern to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Analyst to support the end-to-end development and enhancement of AIGINT Superpages - the foundational training artifacts that power AIGINT's AI Governance Modules. This role is critical to the AIGINT Technical Development Roadmap and will directly contribute to the delivery of modular, deployable AI governance components across various stages of the AI development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will assist with the technical drafting, augmentation, validation, and continuous improvement of Superpages, working in close collaboration with the Tech Lead, Senior Data Scientist, and AIGINT Lead. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop foundational skills in AI governance, applied machine learning infrastructure, and feedback loop modeling while working on a high-visibility strategic project.
Key Responsibilities: Superpage Development (Primary Focus - ~70%)
  • Assist in drafting Superpages by integrating structured content including:

    • Quantitative Metrics
    • Metric Generation Scripts (Python-based)
    • Expanded Technical Considerations
    • Programmatic Implementation logic
    • Test Harnesses for Programmatic Implementation and Quantitative Metrics

  • Translate AI TDL steps and AIGINT sub-component objectives into technically robust Superpage content.
  • Use templated Markdown + Python formats to ensure Superpage compatibility with AIGINT's lightweight model training and UI rendering processes.
  • Augment content using prompt-based generation tools and verify outputs through guided review sessions.
  • Maintain internal documentation of Superpage versioning, QA progress, and feedback integration history in JIRA.
  • Support technical scaffolding for feedback loop integrations within the Superpage structure.
Feedback Model Loop Integration & Testing (~20%)
  • Conduct basic validation and unit testing of feedback loops tied to:

    • Technical Survey EC (Expanded Consideration) routing logic
    • Augmented Question generation
    • Recommendation Justification generation
    • Recommendation feedback loop
    • Generation of delta tracking for challenged responses

  • Assist senior team members in verifying model output alignment with Superpage constraints and thresholds.
  • Maintain traceability between model inputs, ECs, justifications, and recommended outputs.
Cross-Module Coordination (~10%)
  • Collaborate with Senior Data Scientists and Tech Lead to ensure the Superpages integrate smoothly with:

    • Lightweight sub-model implementations
    • AIGINT Module UI components
    • Technical Survey elements

  • Participate in weekly stand-ups to report on progress, challenges, and deliverables for assigned modules.

Required Skills

  • Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, etc.)
  • Jupyter
  • Markdown & YAML
  • GitLab CI/CD
  • Lightweight LLMs (e.g., TinyLLaMA via DoRA adapters)
  • Prompt-based augmentation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)

Desired Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in SWE, data science, and/or research support roles
  • Proficiency with Python, Git, Jupyter, and Markdown-based documentation
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., feature engineering, performance metrics, drift testing)
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and task management platforms (e.g., Jira)
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly in converting technical insights into structured documentation
  • Demonstrated interest in AI governance, responsible AI, and/or compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act) is a strong plus
