RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Engineer in Phoenix, AZ.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Principal Engineer with deep engineering expertise to drive innovation, mentor teams, and tackle complex technical challenges. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance, shape engineering problems into actionable solutions, and apply cutting-edge techniques to enhance processes, projects, and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Principal Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, offering technical leadership and mentorship on engineering projects and initiatives
* Analyze, evaluate, and develop recommendations for engineering challenges within your technical discipline
* Align engineering efforts with the organization's strategic goals, contributing to long-term technical roadmaps
* Communicate effectively to influence strategy and execution within your area of expertise
* Solve complex engineering problems using advanced methodologies and tools
* As a Principal Engineer, you will stay at the forefront of industry advancements by participating in conferences, training, and industry events, recommending best practices and innovations
* Collaborate with project and site management to ensure engineering standards are met while driving improvements
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives, fostering innovation in processes, systems, and technologies
* Provide input for strategic planning and budgeting within your engineering focus area
* Act as a mentor and coach, supporting the development of talent within your discipline
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of relevant engineering experience or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience or PhD in Engineering or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience
* Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and best practices
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and interpret complex technical information
* Ability to assess occupational hazards and enforce safety precautions
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
