Information Technology Organization

IT Service Delivery & Support Function
The IT Service Delivery & Support function serves as the operational backbone of the IT organization. Rather than owning direct infrastructure or applications, this team establishes the frameworks, processes, tooling, and automation that enable all IT functions to operate as a cohesive, service-oriented organization.
Core responsibilities include IT service management, configuration and asset intelligence, cloud financial operations, infrastructure automation and orchestration, operational governance and standards, and vendor management to ensure cost efficiency and consistent service delivery.

Position Overview
The Director, IT Engineering, Global leads the operational backbone of the IT Service Delivery & Support function, transforming IT from reactive support into proactive, measurable value creation. This role is responsible for defining and executing global IT engineering strategy, driving automation, operational excellence, and compliance across the enterprise.
The Director partners closely with Infrastructure, Network, Service Desk, and AI teams to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and service reliability across multiple regions.

Essential Job Functions
Lead global IT engineering strategy, architecture, and execution for enterprise systems

Drive automation and standardization initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and risk reduction

Oversee ITIL-based service management practices, configuration management, and operational metrics

Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT engineering team across multiple regions

Partner with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions

Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies for business impact

Collaborate with Service Delivery and IT Construction teams during new site activations and infrastructure deployments

Provide Tier 2/3 infrastructure expertise for escalations and complex problem resolution

Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of IT engineering initiatives, including planning, design, implementation, and operational support

Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure service performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness

Maintain documentation standards and enforce formal change management processes

Implement operational governance frameworks, controls, and audit processes

Lead adoption and continuous improvement of ITIL best practices, including incident, problem, and change management

Own and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and asset intelligence capabilities

Design and implement operational dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPI measurement systems

Establish communication standards, collaboration platforms, and knowledge management frameworks

Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities and automation pipelines

Design and implement IT service catalogs and self-service capabilities

Integrate operational tools and automate workflows across platforms

Define and maintain infrastructure standards and reference architectures

Monitor infrastructure utilization, forecast capacity, and support expansion planning

Manage vendor relationships, conduct technology evaluations, and optimize licensing and support costs

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Extensive experience in IT engineering leadership within global, multi-site organizations, ideally supporting critical or highly available environments

Proven experience leading complex initiatives, distributed teams, and cross-functional programs

Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365), automation frameworks, and ITIL-based service management

Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms (preferably ServiceNow), including Incident, Request, and Change Management in a global environment

Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements impacting IT operations

Experience with financial operations (FinOps), cloud cost management, and vendor negotiations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a collaborative, results-driven environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Advanced certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP) are advantageous

Ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Experience working with international vendors and service providers

Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating effectively across teams

Expected travel less than 20%
