Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Specialist, Full-Stack Developer in Pittsburgh, PA, to consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Provide application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Converting BRD/FRD to design for application services and data modeling using tools including Visio and Confluence; Applying design patterns and object-oriented design and principles for implementation of scalable, high performing and robust applications with a focus on security, stability and resiliency; Building and implementing applications with tech stack components including Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Oracle, Drools and messaging protocols including Kafka, JMS/MQ and REST; Performing database development and performance tuning using SQL DB including Oracle/Exadata and noSQL DB including MongoDB or Elasticsearch; Implementing Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration tools based on JIRA, GITlab CI/CD pipeline, Docker, Nexus, Veracode security scan and Unix Shell scripting, as per Waterfall and Agile software development principles; Performing unit testing and refactoring using frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, JMeter and also providing UAT and Production support; and Performing capacity planning to support ongoing and future application demands and applying required changes to application and database components.
