VEGA IS HIRING! Actively searching for a Healthcare Business Analyst for a 12 month + contract to hire opportunity with our direct client in Reston, VA. This is a Hybrid based position, candidates must have healthcare back ground and live within a commutable distance to Reston, VA to be considered for this position.

The Business Analyst will have the responsibility to ensure that the business's need for changes to processes, policies and/or information systems are identified, understood, defined, documented and acted upon by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, specifying and verifying the needs of business or user. The incumbent will be accountable for the gathering and synthesizing of business requirements for moderate complexity software, systems, processes and/or services and translates them into specifications ensuring the business objectives are met. As the functional expert, the incumbent serves as a strategic conduit between the business area and the technical or software development team through which requirements flow.

Job requirement:

Experience:

  • 5 years progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, testing or other analytical experience
  • Health insurance experience
  • Experience with interacting with large scrum teams
  • Agile experience
  • Hands-on experience with creating 10-15 user stories per week in JIRA
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality Agile artifacts and contribute to cost-effective, value-driven solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and business analysis core competencies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.
