Job Details

Title: Operational Data Hub (ODH) Engineer

Regulatory Relevance: GxP

The Role: Moderna is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Systems to drive the

evaluation, design, and delivery of the digital manufacturing data management

technologies globally. The individual will lead strategic projects, evaluations, and

customizations of the digital manufacturing systems. Activities will also include

cross training of other digital manufacturing engineers.

Key Responsibilities of the Position: List the Key Responsibilities and any

associated authorities of the associated role(s) Lead strategic projects focusing on

expanding and modernizing the capabilities of manufacturing systems Design and

improve the interfaces between an MES and other systems including but not limited

to PCS, ERP, and LIMS systems Assists in evaluation or product enhancements

and capabilities, implementing upgrades as required Experiment with, develop,

and implement transformational and innovative digital manufacturing solutions

Provide the long-term strategy and implementation plan of key technology solutions

to support manufacturing capabilities Champion Industry 4.0 maturity within our

function; Champion IoT and modern approaches; Champion use of the Cloud and

AWS in manufacturing Support initial and routine upgrade system risk assessment

and testing activities Conduct user-training sessions for staff members Follow all

relevant GxP regulations, guidelines, and company policies to ensure compliance

with regulatory and internal requirements Execute tasks precisely as defined in

internal guiding documents including but not limited to standard operating

procedures (SOPs) and work instructions Follow Good Documentation Practices

and Data Integrity requirements to ensure data, documentation, and records are

completed and maintained for use by the business and available to support auditsor inspections Complete training in assigned required learning plan according to

the defined timing and the prescribed requalification cadence

Required Background: A bachelor s degree in science, technology, or another

relevant academic discipline Minimum 10 years of experience implementing and

maintaining industrial data systems Working understanding of cGMP and

manufacturing operations and practices - An understanding of computer systems

validation practices (GAMP) Experience with building robust ETL pipelines using

multiple technologies (MQTT, Node-RED, etc.) Experience with Data Visualization

and BI tools such as Grafana, Tableau, and PowerBI Experience with integration

technologies (REST, OPC UA and UA Methods, OPC DA and OPC HDA, etc.)

Experience with timeseries data historian systems is preferred (OSIsoft PI,

Wonderware Historian, InfluxDB, etc.) Exposure to Big Data Analytics, Industry 4.0,

Unified Namespace, AI/ML, IoT/IIoT, Graph Databases, GraphQL
