Position Overview
The Department is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the design, development, configuration, and integration of solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with leadership, technical staff, and external stakeholders.

Required (Minimum) Experience & KSAs

  • 3+ years of experience configuring, designing, and developing in the ServiceNow platform

  • Experience with data extractions and conversions

  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws relevant to IT solution implementation

  • Development experience in JavaScript, HTML, XML, JSON, and SQL

  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with Microsoft technologies

  • Experience integrating with third-party systems

  • Knowledge of using Discovery to populate the CMDB and implementing Service Mapping for business service visualization

  • Knowledge of Customer Service Management (CSM)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging staff at all organizational levels and external stakeholders

  • ServiceNow Certifications:

    • Certified System Administrator (CSA)

    • Certified Application Developer (CAD)

  • Knowledge of industry and State IT requirements

  • Experience with Project Management

  • Knowledge of State procurement and contract monitoring requirements

Preferred Experience & KSAs

  • 5+ years of experience configuring, designing, and developing in the ServiceNow platform

  • Additional ServiceNow Certifications:

    • Certified Implementation Specialist IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM)

    • Certified Implementation Specialist Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM)

  • Experience with data extractions and conversions

  • Experience with performance tuning

  • Experience with data security

  • Experience configuring custom email templates

  • Experience implementing security policies using ACLs, roles, groups, and authentication mechanisms
