Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of experience to support a healthcare client. This is a 6-month contract opportunity.
START DATE: 6/16/2025
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of DevOps experience
- Proven experience with DACPAC and database and application (.Net) deployment strategies
- Strong understanding of YAML and its application in Azure DevOps pipelines
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) services and tools
- Previous experience in a similar role within an Agile environment, converting projects to start to use DACPACs
- Knowledge of .Net applications and database management systems (SQL Server, etc.)
- Assist in automation, documentation and change management tasks
- Bachelor of Science in computer science, engineering, or related field
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Government clearance required by start of assignment
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role will be pivotal in enhancing our CI/CD processes and ensuring seamless deployment of application and database changes.
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline various operational tasks, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, and system maintenance.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated testing, building, and deployment of applications, database across different environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC principles and tools, ensuring environments are consistently provisioned and configured.
- Security Automation: Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, automating vulnerability scanning, secret management, and compliance checks.
- Collaboration and Enablement: Work closely with software developers, architects, DBAs, and security teams to understand their needs, provide automated solutions, and foster a culture of DevOps.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex automation and infrastructure and pipeline -related issues, continuously seeking opportunities to optimize processes and improve system reliability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.
- Change Management: Automate and manage changes to infrastructure and applications through controlled and auditable processes.
