About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on this contingent assignment, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable data engineering solutions. You'll consult on complex, high-impact initiatives, contribute to strategic planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve multifaceted software engineering challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of data pipelines, big data technologies, and software development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance ETL and data pipelines using Apache Spark and other big data technologies.
• Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Evaluate and implement tools and frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent experience through work, consulting, military service, or education.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Iceberg, or Kafka.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Unix/Shell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, UDeploy, Liquibase, Harness, Maven, or Gradle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to work on large-scale, long-term software engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
