Job Details
Job Title: IT Project Manager
Client: Baltimore County Public Schools
Location: Middle River, MD
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid
Duration: 1 Year
Additional Information:
- Candidate MUST have at least 10 years of total IT experience*
- Candidate MUST have any government experience, desirable same department experience
Mandatory Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in project management, Business or Public Administration, Computer Science, Communications, or related field.
- Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- 5+ years of experience as a project manager, business analyst, change management analyst, systems analyst, or closely related experience in the analysis of information technology organizations and systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, developing, implementing, and supporting computer information systems and programs. Preferably in a Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse Team but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to coordinate the work of a team with the work of other units within BCPS.
- Ability to develop administrative reports including status reports, administrative reports, project roadmaps, project plans, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
- K 12 education experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working with Azure SQL Instance.
- Understanding SQL Server scripting.
- Understanding data modeling.
- Skill in the operation of computers and peripheral equipment.
- Skill in creative and analytic problem solving.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing principals, concepts, and architecture.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project delivery dates.
- Ability to effectively analyze and manage requirements.
- Ability to visualize complex issues.
- Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Knowledge of programming concepts and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to coordinate the work of a team with the work of other units within the Department of Research, Assessment, and Accountability and other BCPS offices, schools, and departments.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of users, team members and senior management.
