Job Details

Job Title: IT Project Manager

Client: Baltimore County Public Schools

Location: Middle River, MD

Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid

Duration: 1 Year

Additional Information:

  • Candidate MUST have at least 10 years of total IT experience*
  • Candidate MUST have any government experience, desirable same department experience

Mandatory Skills:

  1. A bachelor's degree in project management, Business or Public Administration, Computer Science, Communications, or related field.
  2. Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  3. 5+ years of experience as a project manager, business analyst, change management analyst, systems analyst, or closely related experience in the analysis of information technology organizations and systems.
  4. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, developing, implementing, and supporting computer information systems and programs. Preferably in a Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse Team but not required.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  7. Ability to coordinate the work of a team with the work of other units within BCPS.
  8. Ability to develop administrative reports including status reports, administrative reports, project roadmaps, project plans, etc.
  9. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
  10. K 12 education experience preferred but not required.
  11. Experience working with Azure SQL Instance.
  12. Understanding SQL Server scripting.
  13. Understanding data modeling.
  14. Skill in the operation of computers and peripheral equipment.
  15. Skill in creative and analytic problem solving.
  16. Understanding of Data Warehousing principals, concepts, and architecture.
  17. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project delivery dates.
  18. Ability to effectively analyze and manage requirements.
  19. Ability to visualize complex issues.
  20. Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  21. Knowledge of programming concepts and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  22. Ability to coordinate the work of a team with the work of other units within the Department of Research, Assessment, and Accountability and other BCPS offices, schools, and departments.
  23. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of users, team members and senior management.
