Role: Lead SAS Developer
Locations: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract



Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3-4 Days every week. Local or candidates from adjacent states only.


Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic migration of legacy SAS systems to modern Java/React-based platforms.
Architect scalable solutions that replicate SAS functionality using contemporary technologies.
Oversee the analysis, documentation, and reengineering of SAS workflows and business logic.
Guide cross-functional teams in translating SAS ETL and reporting processes into Java services and ReactJS interfaces.
Ensure data integrity and performance during migration through rigorous testing and validation.
Mentor developers on SAS and modern tech stack integration, promoting best practices and code quality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align migration goals with business objectives and timelines.
Stay current with SAS updates and emerging technologies in data engineering and full-stack development.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
12+ years of experience in SAS development, with 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
Deep expertise in Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, and SAS Procedures.
Proven experience in leading migration projects from SAS to modern platforms.
Strong proficiency in Java and working knowledge of ReactJS.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.
