Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Billing Specialist with extensive experience in the Asset Management industry. This role involves managing end-to-end billing cycles, including fee calculation, AUM data aggregation, reconciliation, and invoice generation across multiple fund structures and distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced billing tools, custodial platforms, and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in billing operations. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Billing Management Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual billing cycles for mutual funds, SMAs, hedge funds, and private equity vehicles. Review and calculate management fees, administrative fees, performance fees, breakpoints, and waterfall structures. Maintain and update client-specific billing instructions, fee schedules, and negotiated terms. Data Management & Reconciliation Aggregate AUM/holdings data from multiple custodians and ensure consistency with internal systems. Perform reconciliations between custodian feeds, internal books, pricing/NAV systems, and CRM repositories. Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate billing outputs. Billing System Operations Operate and enhance workflows in billing engines such as Revport, Eagle/Advent APX Billing, Salesforce, and Workday Financials. Configure rules, rate cards, fee tiers, client hierarchies, and exception logic. Partner with technology teams to drive automation and reduce manual processes. Invoice & Reporting Generate, validate, and deliver invoices for institutional clients and distributors. Coordinate with finance on revenue recognition and ensure compliance with GAAP. Maintain dashboards and MIS for billed revenue, accruals, and client profitability. Process Governance & Client Interaction Serve as the subject-matter expert for billing queries from clients, auditors, and internal teams. Enhance billing policies, SOPs, and control frameworks. Contribute to automation and workflow improvements using tools like Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or Python scripts. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in billing or revenue operations within Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Fund Administration. Strong understanding of fund structures, AUM feeds, custodial platforms, and fee mechanics. Proficiency in at least one major billing system (Revport, APX Billing, Workday, Oracle, SAP). Advanced skills in Excel (macros, pivot tables, lookups), and familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau. Knowledge of investment products (equity, fixed income, alternatives, SMAs). Strong command of fee structures, including tiered breakpoints, performance fees, and negotiated institutional terms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with hedge fund or private equity fee calculations. Exposure to custodial billing platforms. Experience in revenue assurance or fee leakage analysis. Prior involvement in migration or system implementation projects for billing engines. Education: Bachelors Degree
