Responsibility Summary
- Plan, design, and oversee industrial and commercial site development projects, including roads, highways, stormwater systems, water and sewer infrastructure, site grading, and earthwork. Lead rail layout/design projects ensuring compliance with industrial track standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate permitting, manage multiple projects, and support client presentations. Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred
- PE license or EIT required
- 6+ years of related engineering experience
- Industrial/commercial site development experience
- Roads, streets, and highway design
- Storm drainage collection and retention/detention systems
- Potable water distribution & sanitary sewer collection/pumping systems
- Site grading and earthwork
- Rail layout/design and industrial track standards/approvals
- Regulatory permitting knowledge (local/state/federal)
- Civil engineering software (HEC, Civil 3D, AutoCAD) and MS Office proficiency
- Bulk material handling/liquid terminal experience (plus)
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Proactive, positive, and able to manage multiple tasks
