Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leveraging analytics to drive strategic initiatives, with a focus on predictive modeling and customer retention analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to impactful projects within the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
Design and deploy advanced machine learning models, including deep learning techniques when applicable.
Lead the development and implementation of churn models to identify and address customer retention challenges.
Analyze extensive datasets using R or Python to generate meaningful insights and solutions.
Collaborate with analytics leaders and business stakeholders to define and execute data-driven strategies.
Evaluate trends in physician practices and patient behaviors to support organizational goals.
Work closely with engineers, analysts, and other data scientists to scale successful pilot projects into full implementations.
Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to inform decisions by finance and operational teams.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in applied data science or machine learning.
Expertise in churn modeling, retention analysis, or predictive modeling with a business focus.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python, with demonstrated experience in model development and evaluation.
Proven ability to translate complex business problems into structured data solutions.
Familiarity with handling large, multi-source data environments, including claims and geospatial data.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience partnering across technical and business functions.
While healthcare experience is not required, a general understanding of health data is advantageous.
