Enterprise IT Systems Engineer
Key Role:
Support enterprise-level IT infrastructure and services for mission-critical Department of Defense ( DoD ) environments. Display expertise across a wide range of Micro sof t, VMware, and cloud technologies, with a strong focus on secure, scalable, and resilient system design and support. Administer, configure, and support Micro sof t Active Directory, Group Policy , and Certificate Authority ( CA ) or Public Key Infrastructure ( PKI ) . Manage enterprise backup and disa ster recovery solutions ensuring data resiliency and compliance with DoD standards. Design and maintain Storage Area Networks ( SAN ) and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure ( HCI ) for scalable storage and compute needs. Implement and maintain Data-At-Rest ( DAR ) encryption solutions using Micro sof t BitLocker. Ensure systems align with the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide ( SRG ) . Administer and support Micro sof t Exchange, SharePoint, SQL databases, and web hosting. Deliver secure, high-performance capabilities, including VoIP, VDI, mobile computing, and video teleconferencing. Manage and optimize VMware virtual infrastructure and container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Design and maintain solutions within Micro sof t Office 365, leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud-based models.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience with enterprise systems engineering in a DoD or secure environment
- Experience with Micro sof t enterprise technologies, virtualization platforms, and cloud services
- Experience with SAN, HCI, and backup or DR architectures
- Experience supporting deployable or tactical IT environments
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity compliance, including RMF and STIGs
- TS / SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification, within 30 days of hire date
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience applying core systems engineering concepts, processes, practices, and procedures in technical assignments
- Experience across enterprise-level platforms encompassing servers, storage, networking, sof tware, and application services
- Experience collaborating and coordinating with senior-level stakeholders and organizational leaders
- Ability to mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and technical excellence
- Possession of excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced Cybersecurity Certification such as CASP+ or CISSP Certification
