Job Details

A Fortune 500 company is seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to support the security and compliance of enterprise systems, infrastructure, and applications. With a strong national presence and a culture rooted in innovation and collaboration, this organization offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.

This role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Los Angeles or Houston due to team alignment. Occasional light travel may be required for team meetings or audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate IT systems to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement
  • Conduct gap assessments against IT policies and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOX)
  • Support implementation of internal controls: access reviews, privileged activity monitoring, segregation of duties
  • Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security issues and ensure policy compliance
  • Manage identity and access controls (IAM) and ensure appropriate user provisioning
  • Deploy and maintain security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning platforms
  • Provide documentation and support during audits and regulatory assessments
  • Contribute to GRC, risk, and compliance initiatives across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, systems security, or network security roles
  • Proficiency with security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection, encryption)
  • Familiarity with GRC tools (e.g., AuditBoard, Workiva, ServiceNow, Pathlock) strongly preferred
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and ITGCs (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO, SOX)
  • Experience managing access controls and conducting user access reviews
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Security-related certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, Security+) preferred
