Job Title: Supplier Audit/ Evaluation Specialist – Packaging Commodity
Location: Near Beachwood, OH
Employment Type: Contract – Long Term

Role Summary:
Lead the supplier audit and risk program for Packaging commodity, ensuring resilient, compliant, and high-quality supply. This role combines on-ground audits, analytical risk management, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier capacity evaluation to deliver measurable improvements in quality, compliance, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute audit strategies for suppliers in packaging commodities.
  • Build and maintain supplier risk registers and perform risk assessments.
  • Validate materials, processes, and packaging commodities, preferably including Cloth, Liners, Paper, Fiber.
  • Deploy supplier performance scorecards (OTD, DPPM, NCRs, audit scores, response times, certification status) and drive supplier maturity.
  • Ensure compliance and governance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF, etc.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across quality, supply chain, and procurement functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Packaging, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8–10 years of experience in supplier auditing, supplier quality, or supplier assessment within packaging commodities (Cloth, Liners, Paper, Fiber).
  • Proven track record of auditing suppliers and delivering measurable improvements.

Core Skills & Competencies:

  • Conduct onsite supplier operational assessments for quality, supply chain, and capacity.
  • Apply value stream mapping, create material and process flows, document pain points and gaps.
  • Strong knowledge of risk modeling (FMEA/SRM), SPC, Pareto analysis, 5-Why/8D, dashboarding, and trend analysis.
